Synapse and economic coordination technology
Thesis
A key element in demand collapse within an economy is the inability for individuals to coordinate prices effectively across changing market conditions.
Namely, if John sells apples for $10 each and people are only willing to offer him $9, and John is unaware that apples are really only worth $9 right now, then John will not make an income that day. People will not buy his apples. He will not be able to pay Sally the cleaner, who will not be able to pay the loan on her TV, whose loan is fixed and cannot be easily reduced to the new value of money, and in turn the TV company can’t pay warehouse debts which are fixed, etc., etc., down the line.
Not only that, some are hesitant to lower their prices in order to avoid starting a price war with their competitors.
Giving digital societies the tools to understand economic activity and to present that economic activity to each market participant to allow for large scale coordination may help digital society economies flourish.
Provision
